Tilde privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Tilde is a strength coach app for iPhone. Oclo Labs AB, a Swedish company, makes it and is responsible for your data. Questions go to johannes@jhlabs.io.
Tilde is not meant for anyone under 16.
What we store
Your account. You sign in with Apple. We keep your Apple user ID, the email address Apple gives us (which can be a private relay address), your first and last name if you choose to share them, and a token from Apple that lets us end your sign-in when you delete your account. We never see a password.
Your coach profile. Everything you tell the coach during onboarding: your name for the coach, goal, sessions per week, schedule, equipment and weights, training experience, age if you give it, areas to work around such as a sore knee, other sports you do, and notes for the coach.
Your training. The program the coach writes, the sets you log (exercise, weight, reps), exercise swaps, workouts you start, finish or cancel, and cardio sessions you check off.
Your training data is saved on your phone first and synced to our servers on Cloudflare, so the coach can plan with it and you get it back on a new phone.
Our servers keep short-lived logs, including IP addresses, to run the service and fix problems.
The AI coach
When you tap Write my program, we send your coach profile to Anthropic's API, where a Claude model writes your program. Anthropic processes the profile only to answer that request.
When you set or change your name, we send it to Google's Gemini API to record the coach's lines that use your name, such as "Nice work, Sam". We keep those recordings on our servers until you delete your account.
We don't send your Apple ID, your email or your Health data to either provider.
Apple Health
If you allow it, Tilde records each strength workout as a workout in Apple Health. During the workout it lets Health collect your heart rate and active energy for that workout. This stays on your phone and in Apple Health. We don't copy it to our servers, use it for ads, sell it or share it with anyone.
You can turn off Health access any time in the Health app.
Spotify
If you connect Spotify, Tilde controls playback in the Spotify app on your phone. The connection token and your last chosen playlist stay on your phone. Nothing from Spotify reaches our servers.
The website and waitlist
If you join the waitlist on tilde.so, we store the email you give us, when you signed up and which link brought you. We use them only to tell you when Tilde is ready for you. When you join, we get an email with your address and the link that brought you. The site sets no cookies and has no tracking.
To be removed from the waitlist, email johannes@jhlabs.io. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe line.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics tools, and no selling of data.
Who processes your data
- Cloudflare hosts our servers and stores your account and training data.
- Anthropic writes your program from your coach profile.
- Google records the coach's lines that use your name.
- Google hosts our email.
- Apple runs Sign in with Apple and, on your phone, Apple Health.
Some of them process data outside the EU, under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU's standard contractual clauses.
Deleting your account
In Tilde, tap the person icon on Today, then Account, then Delete account. We revoke your Apple sign-in and delete your account, profile, training data and voice recordings from our servers. Signing out or deleting also erases Tilde's data on your phone. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in Health.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and take it with you. Email johannes@jhlabs.io and we'll answer within a month. You can also complain to IMY, the Swedish data protection authority (imy.se).
We use your data to provide the coaching you asked for. We use what you tell us about your health, such as areas to work around, only because you chose to share it, and you can remove it any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app if the change matters.
